Portland Athletic & Outdoor wanted an interactive experience to showcase the growth and diversity of the region’s outdoor industry.
The ecosystem uses a hub and spoke model to display different types of industries and sub-industries.
A timeline scrubber allows users to visually understand the growth of athletic & outdoor businesses as the industry has boomed, and hover states connect the dots to reveal the concentrations of each type across the ecosystem.
